Kelley & Cassandra LIVE Talking about the Zimmerman Case on air!

Guilty or not Guilty– The killing of a child! WHAT DO YOU THINK?

This week on Kelley and Cassandra LIVE we took on the topic of the George Zimmerman trial. This trial centers around the killing of seventeen year old Trayvon Martin, by George Zimmerman a 28 year old man, who was the neighborhood watch coordinator in his neighborhood. The neighborhood had had some previous break ins and Zimmerman spotted Martin walking into the neighborhood on his way out of it. He turned his truck around and started watching Martin.

Before the night was over, Zimmerman had shot and killed Martin, as Martin was on his way home walking in the rain  on that one dark night. Before he shot him, Zimmerman had made a phone call to the non-emergency police line complaining of a “suspicious” person walking in the neighborhood. While on the call he mentioned that “these punks always get away”. At one point Zimmerman got out of his truck and started following Trayvon Martin, even though the police operator told him not to.

Martin, who was unarmed and on his way to the residence where he was staying at the time, did not know who Zimmerman was. Within just a few minutes of that instruction from the police operator, Trayvon Martin was shot dead by Zimmerman and his body was found on the wet grass just a few feet away from the home, where he was headed. Trayvon Martin was found to have only a bag of Skittles candy and an Iced Tea in his possession.  Zimmerman claimed self defense.

The country has taken this killing to heart and Kelley and Cassandra made passionate points on how they saw Zimmerman as the one who was in the wrong and should serve jail time for the killing of seventeen year old Trayvon Martin.

No one wants to think that their child could be shot dead on his or her way home. Kelley and Cassandra both agreed that Zimmerman acted abruptly and that abrupt and judgmental action cause the death of a child.

What do you think? Guilty or not Guilty for Zimmerman? The jury is deliberating today and a ruling can be in by later this evening or early next week. We will see if Kelley and Cassandra got it right or will the jury see it another way.

We try to talk about topics that you find interesting and or educating, so tune into Kelley and Cassandra LIVE weekdays from 3-6pm. Get Caught Listening!
