Kelley’s Deliciously Alive Roadshow – Herbie’s 4/14/12

Kelley’s Deliciously Alive ROADSHOW – Live @ Herbie’s

Herbie’s Vintage 72 restaurant is becoming the Roadshow’s favorite stop on the Tour!  It was a dark and rainy morning heading down to the Central West End, but the excitement was definitely in the air.  Great guests and friends greeted us upon our arrival into the cool sexy atmosphere of Herbie’s bar.  It didn’t take long for a waiter to bring us hot coffee with a little “oomph” to get us going (see Pearl recipe below).  We watched Kelley get hypnotized in a matter of seconds by Dan Lohmeyer – Champion Hypnotist (www.championhypnosis.com).  She felt relaxed as if she just got back from the Spa!  She now has Dan on speed dial!  A lovely bride-to-be was holding a bachelorette party, kicking off their celebration with us.  We had fun asking her questions about her future husband.  Hopefully we didn’t scare her before her wedding day!  Next up was the master wine cellar builder Jim Seitz (www.magnumcellars.net), who has built wine cellars for celebrities and their exquisite collections.

Of course everyone had a fun 2 hours filled with laughter, but we were most looking forward to eating Herbie’s delicious brunch.  The Pain Perdu was ordered by almost everyone!  It is the best French toast in town! (www.herbies.com)

Thanks again to all who stopped by, and to our gracious hosts & owners of Herbie’s, Aaron Teitelbaum & Jeff Orbin!  If you haven’t been to Herbie’s yet, the Roadshow will be there for a special Mother’s Day show May 12th.
