Laughter is Healing!

Laughing!

Laughing is defined as an EXPLOSION of amusement. An explosion that is sometimes a giggle, cackle, snort or sound that comes deep from with in the belly. Laughing is contagious. Wouldn’t it be amazing if we could all catch it? Let laughter spread and fill our hearts with energy. Laughing is living, start living out loud. Laughing is healing so laugh as much as possible. Have you ever had that moment when you laughed till you cried? You were laughing so hard you couldn’t breathe and just when you thought you would catch your breath and stop crying you burst with more laughter until everyone around you was rolling on the floor with laughter. Laugh and say “yes” to a brilliantly colorful life.

I asked a few special friends to give their outlook on laughter and this was what they wrote:

“The value of laughter for well-being is priceless. To be able to laugh at myself and the ironies of life keeps my spirit light and my existence humble. I refuse to take myself too seriously. Even though I strive for high self-esteem, I do not see myself as more important than any other person on this earth. And, I think laugh lines are attractive on all of us!”

“Laughing is contagious. When you see someone in the middle of a meeting or church trying their best not to laugh out loud at something they may have seen or heard, you can’t help yourself but to start laughing yourself. Laughter feels like unconditional love. Like there is nothing else in the world that exists at that moment… just you and that feeling or you and that person. When you are in laughter there is no worry in the world. It is one of the easiest forms of meditation. When you laugh your body distresses and the negative worries stop running through your mind. So, I say, laugh until the tears run down your face, your belly hurts and love takes over your body.”
